A popup is the unit of conversation on PopUp. [Think 'tweet':twitter] When you leave a 'note' at a place, we refer to it as leaving a 'popup.'

What do people use PopUp for?

People use popup to leave jokes, suggestions, tips, reviews, updates, news, events, advice and even directions. This list is not exhaustive, it is simply some of the more popular uses we have seen.

Is the PopUp App available for Android?

No, the app is currently not available for Android. Expect to hear something on this front by the end of 2013.

How does PopUp affect my battery life?

We have spent and continue to spend a large amount of our time developing ways to smartly and efficiently balance the need for location accuracy and battery life. That said, using GPS to accurately determine your location has a noticeable impact on battery life as the GPS sensor in most phones uses larger amounts of power than other sensors in the phone, so you may notice an impact on your battery life when using PopUp.

Do I have to login with Facebook to use the app?

Yes, currently you must login with Facebook to use PopUp.

Can I leave a popup for myself?

Yes you can! Just create a popup as you normally would and select yourself as the only recipient.
